Body edits are the most common thing people try and the most common thing people get caught doing. The reason is almost never anatomy.
Lighting is the tell
Muscle definition in a photograph is not shape, it is shadow. An ab is visible because light falls across the abdomen and something interrupts it. An edit that draws the shape without matching the light in the rest of the photo produces definition that appears to be lit from a different direction than the shoulders above it.
That mismatch is what people notice, even when they cannot name it. Anatomically perfect abs lit from the wrong side look wrong; slightly imperfect abs lit correctly do not.
Proportion is the second tell
Definition has to fit the frame it is on. Heavy arms on narrow shoulders, or a defined midsection on someone whose build does not support it, reads as pasted regardless of how well it is lit — because the rest of the body is still visible in the same photo, arguing with it.
Moderate and proportional survives scrutiny. Maximum does not.
Clothing
If the torso is clothed, the fabric has to follow the new shape rather than disappear. A well-built edit changes how a shirt drapes. A badly built one removes the shirt, which is a different photo than the one you asked for.
Doing it in Retake
Under For men, tick Add abs or Bigger arms. Both prompts ask for a moderate, proportional result that is natural for the body type, and explicitly instruct clothing to follow the new shape rather than be removed.
FAQ
Why does it look subtle? Because subtle is what survives being looked at. Maximum definition on an average frame is the version people spot.
Does it work through clothing? Yes — the fabric drapes over the new shape. Removing the clothing is not what this does.
Can it change my body weight? These presets add definition rather than reshape the whole body. Broad body changes are a different kind of edit.
Will my face change? No. Identity and facial structure are held in place; only the named area moves.
