Seedance 2.0 vs Kling 3.0: Specs, Prices and When to Use Each
Seedance 2.0 vs Kling 3.0: tiers, clip length, aspect ratios, audio, reference-to-video vs multi-shot and motion control, and cost per second in coins.

Seedance 2.0 (ByteDance) and Kling 3.0 (Kuaishou) are two of the most-used AI video models of 2026, and they overlap more than most pairs: both do text-to-video and image-to-video, both run up to 15 seconds, and both can generate sound with the picture. The differences are in the details — and those decide which one fits a given shot.
This comparison uses only what we can check: the variants Reelina runs, their settings and their prices in coins, as of October 2026. It does not rank output quality — that depends on the shot, and the honest test is to run the same prompt through both. On Reelina that costs one generation each.

Price per second
Video is priced per second, so per-second cost is the fair comparison. These are the base prices (5-second clip, lowest resolution of each variant):
| Variant | Coins per 5 s | Coins per second |
|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Mini | 68 | 13.6 |
| Kling 3.0 Std (720p) | 108 | 21.6 |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast | 110 | 22 |
| Seedance 2.0 (720p) | 136 | 27.2 |
| Kling 3.0 Pro (1080p) | 144 | 28.8 |
| Kling 3.0 Turbo | 144 | 28.8 |
| Kling 3.0 4K | 540 | 108 |
Seedance 2.0 Mini is the cheapest way to draft a shot in either family. At the top end, Kling 3.0 Pro starts at 1080p, so its base price already includes a higher resolution than Seedance's 720p base.
Where Seedance 2.0 fits better
- Consistency across shots. Reference-to-video accepts up to 9 reference images, up to 3 reference videos (15 s total) and reference audio. Give it a character sheet and the same person appears in every shot.
- Unusual formats. It is the only one of the two with 21:9, 4:3 and 3:4, plus an adaptive ratio that follows your image.
- Chained scenes. It can return the clip's last frame, so the next shot starts exactly where this one ended.
- Cheap drafting. Mini at 68 coins per 5 seconds.
Where Kling 3.0 fits better
- Several shots in one generation. Kling 3.0 has a multi-shot mode — either you write a prompt per shot, or it plans the cuts itself.
- Copying a movement. Kling 3.0 Motion Control (Std 162 coins, Pro 216 coins) takes a reference video and applies its motion to the character in your image, with the option to keep the original video's sound.
- Very short clips. It goes down to 3 seconds.
- A 4K tier for finished shots.
How to choose
- Draft on Seedance 2.0 Mini or Kling 3.0 Std.
- If the shot needs a consistent character from references, finish on Seedance 2.0.
- If it needs a specific movement or several cuts in one go, finish on Kling 3.0 Pro or Motion Control.
- Still unsure? Run the same start image through both. On one coin balance, that is two generations, not two subscriptions.
