How to Combine Videos into One (Without Installing Anything)
Joining clips is the most common video job there is, and the tools for it are absurd: a 400 MB download for a two-minute edit, or a website that watermarks the result. Here is how to do it in a browser tab, with no install and no watermark.
The short version
Open Video Studio, drag your clips into the workspace, drop them on the timeline in the order you want, press Export. The joined file downloads as one MP4.
Editing costs nothing. Coins are only spent when you ask a model to generate something new — trimming, joining, reordering and exporting are free and unlimited.
Clips of different sizes
This is where most joiners fall over. A phone clip shot upright (9:16) and a screen recording (16:9) cannot simply be glued together — one of them has to change shape.
Video Studio makes that an explicit choice per clip:
- Fit (bars) scales the clip down until it fits and fills the gap with your background colour. Nothing is lost.
- Fill (crop) scales it up until the frame is full and cuts the overflow. You then drag the position sliders to choose which part survives — usually the face.
Pick the frame you are exporting to first (Settings → Size), because that decides what "different shape" even means. Every clip is fitted to that frame at export, so the finished film never changes shape halfway through.
Order, cuts and joins
Click a clip to select it. The controls under the timeline then let you:
- move it earlier or later,
- drag either edge to trim it (the export is cut to the frame, not to the nearest keyframe),
- split it at the playhead and delete the half you don't want,
- choose how it arrives from the clip before it — a hard cut, a crossfade, a dip to black, a wipe.
A transition overlaps two clips, so the total gets shorter by exactly the length of the blend. The timeline shows that honestly: the clips overlap and the running time drops.
What about the sound?
Each clip keeps its own audio. Select a clip to change its level or mute it, and add a music bed from the workspace — the music sits under the clips rather than replacing them. If your track is shorter than the film, it is padded with silence; if it's longer, it stops with the picture. The film's length is never decided by the music.
Formats and limits
Upload MP4, MOV or WebM up to 100 MB per file. Photos (JPG, PNG, WebP) can go on the timeline too — they are held for four seconds by default and you drag the edge to hold them longer. Audio can be MP3, WAV, M4A or AAC.
Everything you upload stays in your workspace, so the same clip can be used in as many cuts as you like without uploading it again.
